Dumfries Music Festival Success

Three Wallace Hall Academy pupils did well in the piano section at the recent Dumfries and District Music Festival. Gabriella Hamlet (S3) won The Mrs J.D. (Ena) Simpson Shield, Charlotte Hamlet (S4) won The John Johnstone Rosebowl and Daisy Arnold (S4) won The Dorothy Howden Glass Trophy. This year’s festival was held virtually with Gabriella, Charlotte and Daisy all recording their pieces and submitting these electronically for the judging day which took place centrally at the Bridge in Dumfries. Great to see their musical talents being recognised - well done girls.
